Inquiries regarding the sale of artwork will be facilitated between the CFS and the buyer. Artists are asked to submit a 20% commission to the CFS for the sale of any artwork from this online exhibition.

LINDA KEMP     CSPWC (Life), SCA (Life), OSA
Linda Kemp is internationally recognized for her unique, contemporary watercolors and acrylics. Her innovative use of negative painting is the focus of her two best selling books, Watercolor Painting Outside the Lines and Simplifying Design and Color For Artists and is featured in internet forums, videos and art publications.


She is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC), the Ontario Society of Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists. Her award winning paintings are in collections around the world, including The Royal Collection,Windsor Castle, U.K. She was awarded the A.J. Casson Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Water Colour, the top award for the CSPWC National Exhibition. Linda instructs at symposiums and workshops throughout Canada, the United States, the UnitedKingdom and France. She has served as juror for numerous national and international exhibitions.   www.lindakemp.com

 

The jurors select the exhibition from the eligible on-line submissions and determine award winners from the accepted artwork.

Entry Terms

  • Entries may be submitted using the CFS on-line portal from August 1 to the deadline September 1.

  • Each artist may make one online entry submission that includes up to two original works for the non-refundable Entry fee:  Non-member pay CDN$40  CFS Member pay CDN$30

  • An entry is considered valid upon receipt of payment-in-full made at time of submission.

  • Submissions must meet all requirements of eligibility, terms and conditions stated in this outline.

Entry Requirements - Eligibility

  • The CFS Open-Juried Exhibition is open to artists who are Ontario residents.  (Upon acceptance into the Open-Juried Exhibition, non-member artists are offered the opportunity to apply for membership with the Colour and Form Society.)

  • Each piece of art must be an ORIGINAL creation of the artist (18 years and older) using eligible media and completed within the past  3 years, without the supervision of an instructor or while in a class or workshop. The art may not be based on published photographs or artwork by others, copyrighted or not.

  • Media eligible - drawing, painting, sculpture, original hand-pulled prints and mixed media are eligible.  (No Photographic or Digital art.)

  • Artwork previously exhibited in a Colour and Form Society show is not eligible.

Entry Conditions

  • By submitting, the artist grants the CFS the  right to use the entry images of accepted work for publicity, educational, reference, and website purposes.

  • No substitutions, title changes or price changes are allowed after the deadline.

  • Jury decisions are final.

Entry Requirements  -  Images

  • Image must be in jpeg format

  • Digital images should be not less than 800 pixels on its longest side.

  • Saved size to be no less than 1MB and no more than 2.5MB. (do not compress files)

  • Image should be of the artwork only.  (No frame; No distracting background, no glare.) The CFS reserves the right to reject images that do not comply.

  • Please use the following FILE NAME for each image you are submitting. 
    SURNAME_Firstname_Title._Media_Year created.jpg   ie: (SMITH_Paula_GreatDay_Acrylic_2019.jpg)

About the Online Entry Process

  • The CFS uses a program called ENTRYTHINGY as the submission provider. It recognizes and stores information by  email address, so if you have used this program before, login using your email and ENTRYTHINGY password.  If you haven’t used it before then you will have to create a profile by entering your email and creating a password.

  • Follow the instructions. This is a step by step process.  Please have ready the following:   Your information, JPG images prepared as required, Titles, Media, Dimensions (h x w) in inches, Price (in CAD) or NFS, and your Payment  information at hand.

  • Do NOT press SUBMIT until you are satisfied with your images and information, and you are ready to pay the entry fee.

  • Payment: After you press ‘submit’, you may pay online through PayPal or with a credit card.

    • NOTE: CFS members need to tick the box labelled, ‘I am a CFS Member’  so they pay only the Members’ fee amount.
