Exhibitions

The CFS holds the following exhibitions:

 

The Annual Open-juried Exhibition is usually held in the fall. For non-member artists it is one of the two pre-requisites to being able to join the CFS.

The Annual Members’ Exhibition is usually held in the late spring.

​

The Biennial Members’ Exhibition is held in the summer of even numbered years ie 2020, 2022… 

​

The Biennial NEW Members’ Exhibition is held in the summer of odd numbered years ie 2021, 2023… , and features artwork by newly-elected members from both the show
year and year prior. (This is a ‘showcase’ therefore no jury and no prizes.)

Every fifth year, the Annual Members Exhibition becomes a special presentation of the artists’ best works created during the previous five years and a companion catalogue is produced. Every tenth year, the show is elevated into a Gala event. The next gala is to be held in 2022.

​

Prizes are determined by jurors who enable us to recognize and award excellence. Yearly, we are honoured to have the expertise of jurors from various sectors of the arts
community.

The CFS is pleased to connect an interested buyer with an artist but the CFS does not handle sales and artwork may not be removed until a show is dismantled.
