Monica works primarily in oil and watercolour. Using depth of colour she captures the intensity of her subjects. Most recently she has been focusing on bold, large, colourful florals in oils and letting her love of nature to guide her with her watercolours. With depth of layering, vibrant colours and translucent paints she creates flow and movement within her paintings.
Doreen’s paintings reflect an internal response to her surroundings and nature’s everyday events. She enjoys challenging herself by pushing boundaries using water media to create unique and compelling images.
Carol's paintings oscillate between abstraction and representation. They are visceral and layered addressing feminism, environmentalism, social equality and humour. Always experimenting with color and form, her joy is the journey.
Today the world is being dramatically impacted, with our environment under life-threatening attack. The paintings I create in my studio and "en plein air" are my way of giving voice to these environmental and social issues, the heartbeat of the planet we call home.
Janet paints her emotional connection in an impressionistic style, using dramatic lighting to emphasize the heightened moment. Multiple canvases are often strategically assembled to elevate the narrative.
Joanna creates her images on canvas, using repurposed magazine papers, Japanese papers and tissues, and her own painted papers. She combines abstract with distorted realism to create a thought-provoking narrative.
