REMEMBERING

Memories of my brother Tad Dunin who lost his life to COVID 19

1938 – 2020

Joanna writes: “My brother Tad graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. After arriving in Canada in 1970, he worked as a commercial artist for most of his life, but he always painted in his spare time. His medium of choice was watercolours and drawing. He always worked from imagination, or his memories of places he has visited. He never aspired to be a well-known artist. He was always painting for himself and I tried to get him to exhibit, wherever I was exhibiting. Most of the time it was CFS OJE exhibitions. He never wanted to become a member but was always happy to be a participant.

He is remembered as witty, kind person, free spirited, imaginative, always ready to take a trip somewhere, sketch or socialize. He is missed by many friends and family locally and in faraway places.”

Pictured here, CFS Open Juried Exhibition around 2004 at Etobicoke Civic Centre Gallery. In this picture, both our works were hung side by side.
